A Partner in the Sydney office’s Corporate & Commercial Practice, George Halikiotis has over 25 years of experience advising high-net-worth individuals, business owners, corporate advisory firms, SMEs and financial planning practices on a broad range of corporate, commercial and private wealth matters.

George has an established reputation in capital raising, restructuring, business succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, superannuation law compliance, asset protection and estate planning. His practice is focused on helping clients protect and preserve wealth, particularly where assets, businesses and beneficiaries span multiple jurisdictions.

Prior to joining PDLegal Australia, George held senior roles in both private practice and held the position of an in-house legal counsel at a major retail bank in Australia.

His experience extends to the management of:

  • Cross-border transactions;
  • Contract disputes;
  • Working with overseas law firms;
  • Advising international entities;
  • Financial services compliance; and
  • SME & Mid Capital raising.

Drawing on his expertise in trusts, superannuation law and corporate restructuring, George advises on bespoke estate planning and succession structures for families with international interests. He regularly assists clients in establishing testamentary trusts and asset protection arrangements designed to facilitate the effective transfer of wealth across generations while managing legal and commercial risk.

George’s practice encompasses corporate and commercial advisory work, business succession planning, restructuring, estate planning, trusts, superannuation and cross-border wealth preservation strategies.
